Volunteer Crew

Want to get involved with the Dam Jam Music Festival? Join our Volunteer Crew! We’re looking for a variety of help, review the list below to find a position that best suits you. Volunteers receive:

  • 1 Ticket per 4 hour shift

  • 1 T-Shirt

  • 1 Wristband
  • 1 Credential

  • Additional tickets for additional shifts

  • Camping for 3 or more shifts

Full Volunteer Position Descriptions

  • Car Show Team

    Responsibilities: Manage an efficient check-in for car show registrants, guide parking, and handle registration fees.
    Qualities Needed: Ability to multitask, strong communication skills, receptiveness to direction and feedback, and competency in overseeing effective check-in and check-out procedures.
    Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods in various weather conditions.

  • Sanitary Team

    Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and stocking of facilities within the venue.
    Qualities Needed: Multitasking ability, strong communication, receptiveness to direction and feedback, and proficiency in maintaining venue cleanliness.
    Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended durations outdoors.

  • Merchandise Team

    Responsibilities: Manage merchandise loading, both outside and inside a trailer, and conduct sales transactions.
    Qualities Needed: Organizational skills, customer service proficiency, and ability to manage inventory effectively.
    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed.

  • Vendor Team

    Responsibilities: Fill and load ice containers, ensure water container security, distribute products to bars and backstage, and maintain inventory.
    Qualities Needed: Good organizational skills, ability to manage physical tasks, and effective inventory management.
    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy items.

  • Ticket Team

    Responsibilities: Handle QR code scanning, wristband distribution, and credential verification.
    Qualities Needed: Attention to detail, efficient handling of entry processes, and strong interpersonal skills.
    Physical Requirements: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Security Team

    Responsibilities: Oversee festival entry by verifying credentials, enforce festival rules (such as bag policy and no outside food/beverages), check IDs in designated areas, manage re-entry restrictions, and maintain overall festival safety and security. This includes crowd management, emergency response, and handling potential security situations.
    Qualities Needed: A mix of vigilance for gate duties and alertness for security roles, strong adherence to festival policies, effective communication skills, quick response ability, and robust problem-solving skills.
    Physical Requirements: Ability to stand comfortably for extended periods and physical fitness to handle various security situations and manage entry points effectively.
